The East Headworks will provide preliminary treatment for a peak flow of 360 MGD.  This contract is part of the overall wet weather plant expansion and will generally include the following:

• Modification of the Main Pumping Station to direct flows to the East and West Headworks facilities
• 120-inch diameter conduit between the Main Pumping Station and the East Headworks
• Six (6) mechanically cleaned bar racks and screenings conveying
• Six (6) aerated grit tanks, grit pumping, concentrating and classifying equipment
• Operations area that includes a control room, locker room, and break area
• Removal of the West Headworks venturi flow meter.
• Replacement of the 120-inch diameter primary influent conduit
• East, West and Center Primary Influent Conduits
• Upgrade of the Headworks Odor Control System
• Modification of existing below grade pipe galleries
• Various modifications to the existing West Headworks

The contract drawings and specifications will be bid using these disciplines:  Contract 1729G: General Construction, Contract 1729E: Electrical, Contract 1729H: Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Contract 1729P: Plumbing
