The CSO Bypass and Disinfection will provide for the means to furnish primary treatment & disinfection for up to 305 MGD of wet weather flow.
Current and future construction will enable up to 600 MGD to be brought to the treatment plant. Seeing that secondary treatment will only be able to handle 295 MGD, the remainder of the influent needs to bypass secondary treatment and be diverted to a new outfall.
This project will add a new CSO bypass channel next to the existing primary effluent channel, modify the current contact tanks, create a new outfall, provide for ancillary systems such as secondary influent flow metering & regulation, and chemical storage & feed for sodium hypochlorite, sodium bisulfite and defoamer.
General, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing contracts are anticipated.
