10th Street Bypass - Resolved

Apr 23, 2026, 7:41 AM

UPDATE (09:28 AM):

All clean-up is complete and roads are back open in the area. We thank the public for their patience as we worked to resolve this issue.

Following a brief storm overnight, a combined sewer overflow (CSO) event caused a structure near the 10th Street Bypass to become partially stuck open, allowing river water to enter the system.  At times, that resulted in water discharging from the manhole.

Crews were on site shortly after the issue began and secured the area. A specialized boat installed stop logs and removed debris. The issue is now resolved. Efforts are focused on clean-up in the area, which will be ongoing and concentrate on debris removal and touch-up.

We are coordinating with agency partners including DOMI and the Coast Guard, due to nearby NFL Draft-related restrictions.
