ALCOSAN is hosting a community meeting in the City of Pittsburgh before construction begins on the Ohio River Tunnel, a key part of ALCOSAN's Clean Water Plan. Drop in any time between 4 and 8 p.m. to meet the project and contractor teams, see site-specific plans and schedules, and ask questions.

As our region moves forward to make our rivers cleaner and healthier, City of Pittsburgh communities will be a large part of the ALCOSAN Clean Water Plan.

Our new regional tunnel system, mandated by the federal government, will directly impact those who live, work and play along our rivers, specifically through:

• Improved river recreation and community life;
• Fewer problems from overflows;
• Short-term construction impacts such as truck traffic and road closures;
• Acquisition of key properties to build the near surface components required for the project.
