With the assistance of a Union Safety Committee, ALCOSAN
has achieved a workers' compensation insurance modification rate of
.625, a rate which significantly reduces the workers' compensation insurance
premium and, more importantly, reflects a low frequency of accidents,
both in numbers of occurrences and in severity.
Although not subject to the provisions of the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (OSHA), ALCOSAN has internally adopted all OSHA
requirements.
