Spring 2012 Educator's Workshop

ALCOSAN, in partnership with Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, is hosting a FREE Educators Workshop on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Participants will:

• Review a case study from the Perry High School EcoStewards program at nearby Riverview Park
• Participate in hands-on activities & discussion on providing effective environmental education in an outdoor classroom that align with the PA Academic Standards
• Discover how parks and watersheds are actually urban ecosystems through hands-on activities and exploration at Riverview Park

Participants can earn 5 Act 48 hours, and lunch will be provided.

(Participants MUST live or work within the ALCOSAN service area.)
