To protect the public and the treatment plant; to
recover and reuse the valuable resources of the Authority; to interact
honestly and fairly with regulatory agencies, industry and the public;
and to serve the Authority.
This Division ensures that the Authority complies with environmental
laws. It is the Authority's primary point of contact with environmental
regulatory agencies for routine issues, permit applications and reporting.
The Director initiates environmental policy for review and discussion
by senior staff, and participates in review of other Authority policies.
The activities of three departments are coordinated to ensure that permit
requirements are met, treatment byproducts are reused or disposed of
properly, and industries are complying. The Director also provides legal
counsel to the Executive Director on environmental and related issues.
- Environmental Audit Department-is responsible
